Description
The allure of smoky, tender ribs sizzling on the grill is unbeatable. Infused with a rich, tangy glaze, these ribs offer intense flavor and texture so succulent, the meat practically falls off the bone.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 rack of baby back ribs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground chipotle pepper
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs using a sharp knife.
- Pat the ribs dry with paper towels. In a bowl, combine olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and chipotle pepper to form a rub. Coat the ribs thoroughly.
- Place the seasoned ribs onto a lined baking sheet and cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until fork-tender.
- As the ribs bake, combine apple cider vinegar and barbecue sauce in a saucepan. Simmer over medium heat until slightly thickened.
- Prepare your grill by preheating to medium-high. Brush ribs with chipotle barbecue sauce and grill for 5-7 minutes per side.
- Remove from grill, rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.
