Description

This unique grilled cheese combines creamy Brie with the sweet-tangy flavor of blackberry jam.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon blackberry jam
  • 1 teaspoon whole-grain mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon finely chopped fresh rosemary
  • 2 slices whole-grain sandwich bread (preferably country-style)
  • 3 slices Brie cheese (about 2 ounces)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Take a small bowl and combine the blackberry jam, whole-grain mustard, and finely chopped fresh rosemary. Mix these ingredients until well-blended.
  2. Grab one slice of whole-grain bread and generously spread the blackberry jam mixture across one side. Lay out the Brie slices evenly over the spread. Top this off with another slice of bread.
  3. Heat a small nonstick skillet over medium-low heat and coat it lightly with cooking spray. Coat the outsides of the sandwich with cooking spray and place in the skillet. Cover and cook for about 3 minutes, then flip and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until golden.

Notes

Ensure the skillet is adequately heated to achieve the perfect golden crisp without burning the bread.
