Description
A show-stopping twist on a classic sandwich!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 Bundt pan
- 1 loaf of Italian bread
- 1/2 pound deli meat (salami, turkey, ham, or a mix)
- 1/2 pound cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or provolone)
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup sliced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sliced red onions
- 1/4 cup pickles
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for greasing
Instructions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). As the oven warms, grease your Bundt pan lightly with olive oil to prevent any sticking and help brown the bread beautifully.
- Slice your Italian bread horizontally into pieces that fit the contours of your Bundt pan. Arrange the bread slices neatly, covering the bottom and sides of the pan to create a solid base and sides for your fillings.
- Start layering by placing slices of your chosen deli meats and cheeses, alternating with layers of vegetables such as shredded lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and pickles.
- In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and mustard. Evenly spread this mixture over the layered fillings.
- Cover the filled Bundt pan with foil to prevent overheating. Place it in the preheated oven and bake for about 25 minutes, or until the bread is golden and the cheese has melted.
- Once baked, remove the Bundt pan from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Carefully invert the Bundt pan onto a serving platter to reveal the beautifully baked sub. Slice into desired portions and serve.
Notes
Ensure your Bundt pan is well-greased to prevent the sub from sticking. Adjust the quantity of ingredients based on the size of your Bundt pan for the perfect fit.
