- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup corn syrup (or maple syrup)
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the granulated sugar and cocoa powder until smooth.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then whisk in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Fold in the all-purpose flour and salt until combined; add chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Prepare the pecan topping in a medium saucepan by cooking the butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and heavy cream over medium heat until thickened.
- Stir in the chopped pecans and vanilla extract into the topping.
- Once brownies are baked, pour the pecan mixture over them and bake for another 15 minutes.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing and serving.
