Description

Rich, gooey, and irresistibly indulgent, these Buttery Pecan Pie Brownies combine the best parts of a classic fudgy brownie and a sweet, sticky pecan pie topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup (or maple syrup)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the granulated sugar and cocoa powder until smooth.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then whisk in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. Fold in the all-purpose flour and salt until combined; add chocolate chips if desired.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
  6. Prepare the pecan topping in a medium saucepan by cooking the butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and heavy cream over medium heat until thickened.
  7. Stir in the chopped pecans and vanilla extract into the topping.
  8. Once brownies are baked, pour the pecan mixture over them and bake for another 15 minutes.
  9. Allow to cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

Let the brownies cool completely before slicing to ensure clean edges.
