- 1¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Optional: ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg (very subtle)
Instructions
- Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Meanwhile, line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, begin by adding the mashed banana along with the melted butter and brown sugar. Mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Combine the dry ingredients into the bowl of wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
- Chill the dough in the fridge for at least 20 to 30 minutes.
- Scoop the dough onto lined baking sheets, ensuring space between each scoop, and bake for 11 to 13 minutes.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
