Instructions

  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 350℉ (175℃).
  2. Prepare two baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
  3. Cream the butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla, mixing until fully incorporated.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing gently.
  7. Stir in chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
  8. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto the baking sheets, leaving space between them.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  10. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
