- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder

- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk (warm)
- 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese (freshly shredded)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon ground mustard (optional)
- 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch)
- Optional: sautéed onions, spinach, diced tomatoes, or jalapeños
Instructions
- Start by taking your sliced chicken breasts and placing them into a mixing bowl. Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken and then add the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Use your hands or a spoon to thoroughly combine the seasonings with the chicken, ensuring every piece is well-coated with the flavorful mixture.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add the seasoned chicken to the pan. Allow the chicken to cook for approximately 4–6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked.
- In a clean saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds. Sprinkle in the flour to create a roux, stirring until smooth. Gradually pour in the warm milk while whisking to prevent lumps.
- Take the sauce off the heat and stir in the cheddar and Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
- Warm the tortillas in a skillet or microwave for 15-20 seconds.
- To assemble, take a warm tortilla, place cooked chicken in the center, and spoon over the garlic cheese sauce.
- Roll the tortilla tightly, then return it to the skillet to toast each side for 1–2 minutes.
