  • 450g fettuccine pasta
  • 500g ground beef
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water (optional, as needed)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add fettuccine and cook until al dente. Drain and reserve ½ cup of pasta water.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Melt butter in the skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  4. Stir Parmesan into cream incrementally, melting it smoothly. Return beef to skillet, fold into sauce.
  5. Add fettuccine, toss to coat in sauce. Use reserved pasta water to desired sauce consistency.
  6. Sprinkle with parsley and additional Parmesan before serving.

Notes

Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best texture and flavor in the sauce. Allow cream to reach room temperature before adding to the skillet to prevent curdling.
