- 3 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 sleeves Ritz crackers, crushed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, onion, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Spread the chicken mixture evenly in the greased baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix the crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter and Parmesan cheese, then sprinkle over the chicken mixture.
- Bake uncovered for 30 to 35 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Using rotisserie chicken saves time, and for a tangy flavor, substitute sour cream with Greek yogurt.
