  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 sleeves Ritz crackers, crushed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, onion, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. Spread the chicken mixture evenly in the greased baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter and Parmesan cheese, then sprinkle over the chicken mixture.
  5. Bake uncovered for 30 to 35 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Using rotisserie chicken saves time, and for a tangy flavor, substitute sour cream with Greek yogurt.
