Description

This Creamy Velveeta Spaghetti with Italian Beef Marinara combines the comforting essence of cheese, the robust flavors of marinara, and hearty beef, offering a delightful taste adventure perfect for busy weeknights or leisurely weekends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella (optional, for topping)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with water, add a generous pinch of salt, and bring it to a rolling boil. Add the spaghetti and cook it to an al dente texture, following the package instructions. Drain and reserve ½ cup of the pasta water.
  2. On medium heat, warm up olive oil in a large skillet. Add ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks. Cook until no longer pink, then drain excess fat.
  3. Add diced onion to beef. Sauté for 3–4 minutes until translucent. Add minced garlic, stirring for an additional minute.
  4. Add marinara sauce, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Gradually add Velveeta cubes, stirring until cheese is melted and sauce is creamy.
  6. Add spaghetti to skillet, tossing to coat with sauce. Add reserved pasta water if needed.
  7. Optional: For added flavor, spoon into a baking dish, top with mozzarella, and broil for 2-3 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Always reserve some pasta water when draining spaghetti. It helps the sauce stick better, creating a glossy, cohesive dish.
