- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon chili powder or paprika
Instructions
- Start by slicing the chicken breasts into cutlets or pounding them to an even thickness. This ensures they cook evenly and stay juicy. Once prepared, rub each piece with oil, salt, and pepper until they are well-coated.
- In a separate mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, flour, and all the spices—garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, basil, salt, and chili powder or paprika. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Next, take each cutlet and press it into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring both sides are evenly coated.
- Place the breaded chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Set the air fryer to 200°C (390°F) and cook for 8–9 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Once cooked, let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.
