Crispy and Sweet Apple Fries are a creative and delicious snack that combines the crunch of fried apples with a delightful cinnamon-sugar coating!


Ingredients

  • 3 large Apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and cut into fry-sized strips
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • Vegetable Oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
  • Optional Dipping Sauce: Caramel or Vanilla Yogurt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your deep skillet or Dutch oven with vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add milk to create a smooth batter.
  3. Pat apple strips dry with paper towels. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  4. Dip apple strips into the batter and let excess drip off before frying.
  5. Fry apple strips for 2–3 minutes until golden-brown, turning once for even cooking.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Toss in cinnamon sugar mixture.
  7. Serve warm with optional dipping sauces.
