Buffalo air fryer chicken nuggets are a flavorful and healthier alternative to traditional fried nuggets that everyone will adore.

- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized chunks
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/3 cup hot sauce
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray or olive oil (for misting)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for about 3 minutes.
- In a bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and hot sauce until well combined, then add chicken pieces and let sit for 10–15 minutes.
- Combine panko breadcrumbs, flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in another bowl.
- Coat each piece of marinated chicken in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place in the air fryer basket in a single layer, lightly spray with oil, and cook at 400°F for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Serve hot, optionally tossing in extra Buffalo sauce.
Notes
For meal prep, marinate the chicken pieces the night before and store them in the refrigerator until ready to cook.
