- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp runny honey
- 1 red chilli, finely chopped (or 1 tsp chilli flakes)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Handful of chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Prepare the Halloumi: Toss halloumi cubes in plain flour until evenly coated, ensuring each piece is well covered but not overloaded.
- Fry the Halloumi: Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat, add flour-coated halloumi, and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and place on paper towel.
- Create the Glaze: In the same pan, add honey, chopped chili, and minced garlic, stirring gently for 1-2 minutes until glaze thickens slightly.
- Combine: Return crispy halloumi to the pan and toss until well coated in the glaze.
- Serve: Plate the bites, garnish with parsley and black pepper, and serve warm for the best enjoyment.
