Description
Are you ready to elevate your snacking game? These easily sharable, crispy bites are perfect for parties, game days, or any time you crave something munchable.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 medium yellow onions, very thinly sliced (about 1/6 inch, mandolin recommended)
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp coarse sea salt (or to taste)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp seasoning salt
- ¼ tsp ground black pepper
Instructions
- Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures that your chips bake evenly and reach that perfect crispy consistency.
- Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Evenly sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the parchment paper, covering the surface entirely.
- Now it’s time to lay the thinly sliced onion rings on top of the cheese.
- Using your pastry brush, lightly coat the onions with avocado oil.
- Sprinkle paprika, coarse sea salt, garlic powder, seasoning salt, and ground black pepper over the onions.
- Place your baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, checking for doneness as you approach the 25-minute mark.
- Allow your onion ring chips to rest on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
These onion ring chips are best enjoyed immediately after baking. However, you can store any leftovers in an airtight container for 1-2 days.
