Description
Perfectly crispy, cheesy, and delicious, they bring a burst of flavor to your dinner table.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb Brussels sprouts
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 2 tbsp panko breadcrumbs (optional)
Instructions
- Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). While that’s warming up, grab a baking sheet and line it with parchment paper, then lightly grease it with olive oil.
- Rinse the Brussels sprouts thoroughly under cool water, ensuring they’re free of any dirt or debris. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Next, trim the woody ends off the sprouts and slice each one in half lengthwise.
- In a mixing bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, and the optional garlic powder.
- Once seasoned, add the freshly grated Parmesan and panko breadcrumbs to the bowl. Gently toss everything together.
- Now, arrange the sprouts cut-side down on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, checking for doneness around the 20-minute mark.
- Once they’re done roasting, remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and let them cool for about 2 minutes.
Notes
For maximum crispiness, always place sprouts cut-side down on the baking sheet to achieve perfect caramelization.
