  • Author: Alioui
  • Total Time: 1 hour
  • Yield: 16 servings 1x

Description

Rich, chewy brownies packed with layers of chocolate, caramel, and peanuts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 ½ sticks (¾ cup) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup salted peanuts
  • 1 cup milk chocolate, melted (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Begin your brownie adventure by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). While the oven warms up, grease your 9×13-inch baking pan thoroughly. For added ease in removing the brownies post-baking, line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine your melted butter with semi-sweet chocolate chips, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Utilize a whisk to blend these ingredients together until smooth and glossy. Incorporate the eggs, adding them one at a time. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually sift in the all-purpose flour along with the salt. Mix gently, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Spread half of the batter into your prepared baking pan. Bake for about 10 minutes. Pour caramel sauce evenly over the baked layer, sprinkle with salted peanuts, and spread the remaining batter over the top.
  5. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 25 to 30 minutes until the surface looks set and slightly crackled.
  6. Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan, then drizzle melted milk chocolate over the top.
  7. Slice the brownies into squares and serve with extra peanuts sprinkled on top.

Notes

Store brownies in an airtight container to preserve moistness. Microwave for a warm treat.
