- 2 tbsp powdered sugar (plus more for dusting)
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup strawberry jam
- 2 large eggs
- 3 tbsp milk
- 2 tbsp butter (for frying)
Instructions
- Prepare the Cream Cheese Filling: In a mixing bowl, take the softened cream cheese and add the powdered sugar. Using a fork or an electric mixer, blend them together until the mixture is smooth and airy.
- Assemble the Sandwiches: Take four slices of your chosen bread and spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on one side of each slice. Add the sliced strawberries and a spoonful of strawberry jam.
- Prepare the Egg Wash: In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until fully combined.
- Fry the Sandwiches: Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter. Fry each side for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Drain and Dust: Lift the sandwiches and place them on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar while warm.
