Description

Indulge in a slice of pure happiness with this delightful Peanut Butter Cup Pie.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 premade pie crust
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening
  • 2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/2 cup crushed peanuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
  • Mini peanut butter cups and caramel drizzle for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by melting 1 cup of milk chocolate chips alongside 1 tablespoon of vegetable shortening. Place the mixture in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat it in the microwave in short bursts of 30 seconds, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely smooth and glossy. Once melted, carefully spread this mixture evenly into the bottom of your premade pie crust. Place it in the refrigerator to allow it to chill and set for about 30 minutes.
  2. In a separate mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, confectioners’ sugar, crushed peanuts, and vanilla extract. Using an electric mixer or a whisk, blend until the mixture is smooth and the ingredients are well incorporated. Next, gently fold in the whipped cream. This addition will give your filling a fluffy, light texture, making it incredibly indulgent.
  3. Once your chocolate base has set, it’s time to build your pie! Pour the creamy peanut butter mixture over the chilled chocolate layer in the crust, using a spatula to smooth the surface evenly. To finish, melt the remaining chocolate chips combined with the remaining tablespoon of shortening just as you did in the first step. Drizzle this luscious chocolate over the peanut butter layer, creating a stunning visual effect.
  4. Add your mini peanut butter cups on top, arranging them elegantly across the surface. Finally, crown your pie with a generous drizzle of caramel for an extra touch of sweetness. Return the pie to the refrigerator and let it chill for at least two hours to allow it to set perfectly before serving.

Notes

Don’t rush the setting time; ensure it is well chilled before cutting to maintain clean slices.
