Description

The appeal of Baked Chicken Meatballs Spaghetti lies in its delightful combination of lightness and flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • Fresh basil for garnish
  • Parmesan cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, blend together the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Use your hands or a spoon to mix the components thoroughly until they are well incorporated.
  2. Form the meat mixture into 1-inch balls. Arrange them evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to prevent sticking. Drizzle the meatballs with olive oil to promote browning and a crispy exterior. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15 to 18 minutes.
  3. While the meatballs are baking, bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain the spaghetti and set it aside.
  4. In a large skillet, warm the marinara sauce over medium heat. Gently add the baked chicken meatballs to the sauce, allowing them to simmer for about 5 minutes.

Notes

For perfectly browned meatballs, ensure they are spaced well apart on the baking sheet. If you prefer a crispier texture, broil the meatballs for the last 2-3 minutes of baking.
