Description

A delicious fusion of traditional baklava and a soft bundt cake that will impress your guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup chopped pistachios
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). This will ensure that your cake bakes evenly. While that’s heating up, take your bundt pan and grease it generously with butter or a non-stick cooking spray. Proper greasing is crucial as it helps prevent the cake from sticking once it’s baked.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix until well combined and set the bowl aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, take your softened butter and combine it with both the granulated and brown sugars. Use a hand mixer or stand mixer to beat the mixture until it becomes light and fluffy, approximately 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Next, add the eggs to the creamed butter mixture one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then gently stir in the Greek yogurt, milk, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
  5. Once your liquids are well mixed in, gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Mix just until the flour is incorporated.
  6. Now, it’s time to fold in the chopped walnuts, pistachios, and cinnamon.
  7. Pour the prepared batter into your greased bundt pan. Slide the pan into the preheated oven and bake for approximately 45 to 50 minutes.
  8. While your cake is baking, take a small saucepan and combine honey, water, fresh lemon juice, and orange zest. Bring to a boil, then simmer for about 5 minutes.
  9. After the cake has baked, let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Carefully invert the cake onto a serving plate and drizzle with the warm honey syrup.
  10. Your beautiful Baklava Bundt Cake is now ready for serving!
