- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 6 oz brie cheese, rind removed and cut into cubes
- ½ cup fresh blackberries, chopped
- 1 jalapeño, finely diced (remove seeds for less heat)
- 2 tbsp blackberry jam or preserves
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Optional Garnish: Fresh thyme leaves, Cracked black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out thawed puff pastry and cut into 2-inch squares, then press into a mini muffin tin.
- In a bowl, mix chopped blackberries, blackberry jam, diced jalapeño, and honey.
- Place a cube of brie in each pastry cup and top with blackberry mixture.
- Brush edges with beaten egg and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until golden.
- Garnish with thyme or pepper, serve warm.
Notes
For crispier pastry, avoid overcrowding the muffin tin. Assemble the bites just before baking if preparing in advance.
