Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 6 oz brie cheese, rind removed and cut into cubes
  • ½ cup fresh blackberries, chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, finely diced (remove seeds for less heat)
  • 2 tbsp blackberry jam or preserves
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Optional Garnish: Fresh thyme leaves, Cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out thawed puff pastry and cut into 2-inch squares, then press into a mini muffin tin.
  3. In a bowl, mix chopped blackberries, blackberry jam, diced jalapeño, and honey.
  4. Place a cube of brie in each pastry cup and top with blackberry mixture.
  5. Brush edges with beaten egg and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until golden.
  6. Garnish with thyme or pepper, serve warm.

Notes

For crispier pastry, avoid overcrowding the muffin tin. Assemble the bites just before baking if preparing in advance.
