Description
This easy-to-follow recipe caters to busy mornings yet delivers a delectable experience worth savoring.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large flour tortilla (or whole wheat)
- 2–3 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- Pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)
- Cooking spray or butter (for skillet)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with your sweetener choice—honey or maple syrup—and a pinch of cinnamon if desired. Stir until the mixture becomes smooth and evenly integrated.
- Place your tortilla on a clean, flat surface. Carefully spread the cream cheese mixture over half of the tortilla, making sure to leave a small edge. Layer fresh blueberries evenly over the cream cheese.
- Preheat your skillet over medium-low heat. Coat it lightly with cooking spray or butter and gently place your prepared quesadilla into the skillet. Cook each side for about 2–3 minutes.
- Remove the quesadilla from heat, let it cool for about 1–2 minutes, and use a sharp knife to cut it into wedges.
Notes
Use fresh blueberries for the juiciest flavor burst. Spread the filling uniformly for balanced flavor in every bite.
