If you’re searching for the perfect balance between sweet and savory, look no further than these delicious Blueberry Feta Burgers with Jalapeño Aioli.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 beef burger patties
  • 6 brioche-style burger buns
  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced
  • 8 ounces crumbled feta cheese
  • 1½ cups fresh arugula
  • Blueberry Sauce:
  • 1 pint blueberries
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ¼ cup water
  • Pinch of salt
  • Jalapeño Aioli:
  • 12 fresh jalapeños, seeded and chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Start off by soaking the sliced red onions in cold water for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the blueberries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Allow this mixture to come to a gentle boil.
  3. For the aioli, simply combine the seeded jalapeños, fresh basil, olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic powder in a blender. Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. Get your grill or frying pan sizzling hot! Grill the beef patties over medium heat for about 5 minutes per side.
  5. It’s time to put everything together! Start by toasting your brioche-style burger buns lightly on the grill.

Notes

Make the blueberry sauce and jalapeño aioli ahead of time—these sauces can be refrigerated for up to 2 days! To enhance flavor further, consider grilling the brioche buns for a few moments for a toasty finish.
