Description
If you’re craving something delicious yet effortlessly simple, Cheesy Basil and Garlic Pizza is your go-to recipe.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ball pizza dough (10–12 inch size)
- 1 1/4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 tablespoons garlic-infused olive oil or 2 cloves garlic finely minced + 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 to 8 fresh basil leaves
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Pinch sea salt
- Freshly cracked black pepper to taste
- Cornmeal or flour for dusting surface
Instructions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it inside the oven to heat up.
- On a lightly floured surface, take your pizza dough and stretch it out into a round shape, about 10 to 12 inches in size.
- Next, combine the garlic and olive oil together. If using garlic cloves, finely mince them.
- Transfer your shaped dough onto a well-floured pizza peel or a piece of parchment paper for easy handling.
- Now, it’s time to add your toppings. Start by evenly sprinkling shredded mozzarella cheese across the oil-brushed surface.
- With all your toppings in place, it’s time to bake. Carefully slide the pizza off the peel onto the preheated pizza stone or inverted baking sheet.
- Once baked to perfection, remove your pizza from the oven. Allow it to rest for about 2–3 minutes.
Notes
For the best results, ensure your oven is fully preheated and your pizza stone or pan is hot before placing the pizza in.
