- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed and halved
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 cups crispy fried onions
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, then drain fat and season.
- Blanch the green beans in boiling salted water for 3-4 minutes, then drain.
- Combine cream of mushroom soup with sour cream, add beef and green beans, and stir.
- Transfer to the baking dish, top with cheddar cheese, and bake for 20 minutes.
- Add fried onions and bake until golden, about 5-7 minutes.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
This casserole can be made in advance without the fried onion topping and refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
