Instructions

  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly within the pastry’s scored border, then top with cherries.
  5. Fold and crimp the edges to secure the filling and brush with beaten egg.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and filling is set.
