- 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 10.5 oz can cream of chicken soup
- 10.5 oz can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk or chicken broth (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
- 6 oz box of stuffing mix
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup chicken broth (for moistening stuffing)
- Chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken with the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, and sour cream. Season with black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme. Adjust consistency with milk or chicken broth.
- Transfer the chicken mixture into your prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine the stuffing mix with melted butter and chicken broth. Stir until just moistened.
- Spread the stuffing on top of the chicken layer and press down slightly.
- Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.
