Ingredients
- All-purpose flour, 2 cups
- Baking powder, 1 tablespoon
- Salt, 1 teaspoon
- Unsalted butter, 6 tablespoons, cold and cubed
- Milk, 3/4 cup
- Chicken sausage, 8 ounces, cooked and crumbled
- Shredded cheddar cheese, 1 cup
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; whisk until integrated.
- Add butter to the dry mixture and cut in using a pastry cutter until coarse crumbs form.
- Pour in the milk and stir gently until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms.
- Fold in the chicken sausage and cheddar cheese until just combined.
- Shape the dough into portions and place them on the lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until they are puffed and golden brown.
- Cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving warm.
