Description

Chicken sausage biscuits are the ultimate comfort food that happens to be superbly easy to whip up in your kitchen.


Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour, 2 cups
  • Baking powder, 1 tablespoon
  • Salt, 1 teaspoon
  • Unsalted butter, 6 tablespoons, cold and cubed
  • Milk, 3/4 cup
  • Chicken sausage, 8 ounces, cooked and crumbled
  • Shredded cheddar cheese, 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; whisk until integrated.
  3. Add butter to the dry mixture and cut in using a pastry cutter until coarse crumbs form.
  4. Pour in the milk and stir gently until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms.
  5. Fold in the chicken sausage and cheddar cheese until just combined.
  6. Shape the dough into portions and place them on the lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until they are puffed and golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving warm.
