Description

Chopped Cheeseburgers are a delightful twist on traditional burgers that provide a delicious and easy-to-make meal option.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup finely diced yellow onion
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 6 to 8 slices American cheese or cheddar
  • 1 12-pack Hawaiian slider rolls
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef along with the finely diced yellow onion. Cook until no longer pink, breaking it up with a spatula.
  2. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and season with salt and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  3. Slice the Hawaiian slider rolls horizontally and lay the bottom halves in a greased baking dish.
  4. Spoon the beef mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the slider buns and layer cheese slices on top.
  5. Top with the remaining halves of the rolls, press down gently, and brush with melted butter. Sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
  6. Bake covered with foil at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 5 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before slicing and serve warm.

Notes

Consider using different types of cheese like pepper jack for added spice.
