- ½ apple, diced (e.g., Honeycrisp or Fuji)
- ½ tbsp maple syrup (or honey)
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp granola
- 1 tbsp chopped pecans (or walnuts)
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Start by heating a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add your diced apples. Sprinkle the apples with cinnamon and pour in the maple syrup (or honey) and vanilla extract. Stir everything together, letting the mixture cook for about 2–3 minutes.
- After the apples have cooked and softened to your liking, it’s time to assemble your bowl. Take a generous scoop of cottage cheese and spoon it into a bowl.
- Now, take the warm, cinnamon-infused apples and place them directly on top of the cottage cheese. Next, sprinkle your favorite granola over the top and add the chopped pecans (or walnuts) as well.
Notes
Ensure the apples are diced evenly for uniform cooking. Feel free to adjust the sweetness level by using more or less maple syrup depending on your preference.
