A rich, creamy crab filling with added umami that blends perfectly with gooey mozzarella.

- 1 cup crab meat (fresh or canned, well-drained)
- 115 g cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 slices sandwich bread
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
Instructions
- Start by heating your nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, crab meat, mayonnaise, finely chopped green onions, garlic powder, soy sauce, lemon juice, and shredded mozzarella.
- Take the four slices of sandwich bread and lightly butter one side of each.
- Spread the crab mixture generously on the unbuttered side of two slices of the bread.
- Carefully place the assembled sandwiches onto the preheated skillet or griddle and toast them for about 3–4 minutes on one side.
- Once both sides are golden, remove them from the heat and slice diagonally.
- Serve hot and enjoy with a side of sweet chili sauce or a crisp salad.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
