Description

A rich, creamy crab filling with added umami that blends perfectly with gooey mozzarella.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup crab meat (fresh or canned, well-drained)
  • 115 g cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 slices sandwich bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Start by heating your nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, crab meat, mayonnaise, finely chopped green onions, garlic powder, soy sauce, lemon juice, and shredded mozzarella.
  3. Take the four slices of sandwich bread and lightly butter one side of each.
  4. Spread the crab mixture generously on the unbuttered side of two slices of the bread.
  5. Carefully place the assembled sandwiches onto the preheated skillet or griddle and toast them for about 3–4 minutes on one side.
  6. Once both sides are golden, remove them from the heat and slice diagonally.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy with a side of sweet chili sauce or a crisp salad.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
