Dumpling Salad

  • Author: Alioui
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

This Dumpling Salad is a delightful dish that combines crispy textures with vibrant flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 bag (about 16) frozen wontons or potstickers
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil (or avocado oil for air-frying)
  • 1 (8 oz) bag frozen shelled edamame
  • 1 bag chopped broccoli slaw mix
  • 1/2 shallot, thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. To start, heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add your sesame oil. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the frozen wontons or potstickers in the skillet. Cook them for about 2–3 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown and crispy.
  2. While your dumplings are frying, grab a microwave-safe bowl and the frozen shelled edamame. Following the package directions, microwave the edamame until it’s heated through.
  3. In a large bowl, combine your chopped broccoli slaw, cooked edamame, thinly sliced shallot, diced green onions, and fresh cilantro. Toss these ingredients gently to combine.
  4. In a separate small bowl or measuring cup, whisk together the sweet chili sauce, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  5. Pour the dressing over the assembled salad base and toss everything together gently until it’s well-coated.
  6. To finish your Dumpling Salad, generously sprinkle the crispy wonton strips, diced almonds, and sesame seeds on top. For an extra zing, squeeze fresh lime juice over the salad just before serving.

Notes

Don’t skip the lime juice as it brightens up the flavors beautifully!
