Description
The Festive Pavlova Wreath is a stunning dessert that combines crispy meringue, fluffy cream, and fresh berries, making it perfect for holiday celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large egg whites (room temperature)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1½ cups cold heavy cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
- ¼ cup pomegranate seeds
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
- Begin by beating the egg whites in a clean mixing bowl. It’s crucial they are at room temperature, as this helps in achieving the maximum volume. Use a stand mixer or a hand mixer on medium speed until the egg whites form soft peaks.
- Once you’ve achieved soft peaks, gradually add the granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time.
- With your egg white mixture ready, gently fold in the white vinegar, vanilla extract, and cornstarch.
- Using a spoon or spatula, carefully scoop the meringue mixture onto the baking tray, following the traced circle you made earlier.
- Slide your baking tray into the preheated oven and bake for one hour.
- Once your pavlova is completely cool, it’s time to whip up the topping.
- Spoon the prepared whipped cream generously over the cooled pavlova, spreading it into the center.
Notes
