  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons espresso powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • Fresh raspberries, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate together in a heat-proof bowl.
  3. Mix in the sugars and eggs until well combined.
  4. Fold in the cocoa, salt, and baking powder until incorporated.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 28-32 minutes.
  6. Cool in the pan before inverting onto a plate and dusting with powdered sugar.
  7. Garnish with raspberries and serve.
