- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
- 6 ounces semi-sweet baking chocolate, finely chopped
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons espresso powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
- Fresh raspberries, for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Melt butter and chocolate together in a heat-proof bowl.
- Mix in the sugars and eggs until well combined.
- Fold in the cocoa, salt, and baking powder until incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 28-32 minutes.
- Cool in the pan before inverting onto a plate and dusting with powdered sugar.
- Garnish with raspberries and serve.
