  • Pink, blue, and purple food coloring
  • For the Whipped Cream Topping:
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your muffin tin with 12 cupcake liners.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream together the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the whole milk.
  6. Divide your batter into three bowls and color each with pink, blue, and purple food coloring.
  7. Layer the colored batters into the cupcake liners and swirl gently with a toothpick.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
