Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your muffin tin with 12 cupcake liners.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream together the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the whole milk.
- Divide your batter into three bowls and color each with pink, blue, and purple food coloring.
- Layer the colored batters into the cupcake liners and swirl gently with a toothpick.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Pipe the whipped cream onto the cooled cupcakes.
