- Begin by heat-treating the dry Funfetti cake mix. This step is vital to ensure the cake mix is safe to eat raw. To do this, place your cake mix in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute and 15 seconds. Stir the mix every 15 seconds to promote even heating. Once done, allow the mix to cool completely before moving on to the next step.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled cake mix with the vanilla Greek yogurt. Using a whisk or hand mixer, mix the two ingredients until they blend into a smooth, lump-free consistency.
- Next, take your chilled whipped topping and gently fold it into the cake and yogurt mixture. Be careful not to overmix; you want to see the airiness of the whipped topping remaining.
- Gently fold in the rainbow sprinkles, ensuring they’re evenly distributed throughout the dip. Remember to save a few sprinkles for garnish later on!
- Cover your bowl tightly with plastic wrap or a lid and place it in the refrigerator. Chill the dip for at least 30 minutes.
