- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 12 oz rotini pasta
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp chopped chives or parsley (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the rotini pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced onion to the skillet, stirring until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
- Add tomato sauce, cream of mushroom soup, and sour cream to the skillet. Simmer for 5–7 minutes and season with salt and pepper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the beef and sauce mixture.
- Transfer to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is golden brown.
- Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving. Garnish with chives or parsley, if desired.
