- Start by combining the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and table salt in a small bowl. It’s important to stir these ingredients thoroughly to ensure an even distribution of flavors.
- In a large nonstick skillet, set over medium heat, place the sliced salted butter. Allow it to melt completely, swirling it around the pan to coat the bottom evenly. After the butter is melted, stir in the pure vanilla extract.
- Add the Cheerios cereal to the skillet and give them a gentle stir. Continuously stir the mixture for 3 to 5 minutes, allowing the Cheerios to toast lightly.
