- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 tablespoon milk (only if needed)
- 6 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped

Instructions
- Begin by creaming the unsalted butter and powdered sugar together in a large mixing bowl.
- Add in the large egg followed by the pure vanilla extract and optional almond extract and mix until fully integrated.
- Sift together the all-purpose flour and salt, then gradually add to the wet ingredients.
- If dough is too dry, add 1 tablespoon of milk to soften.
- Fill a piping bag with the cookie dough and pipe onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Chill the cookies in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes until light golden around the edges.
- Cool the cookies on a wire rack.
- Melt the chocolate and dip one half of each cooled cookie into it.
- Sprinkle with colorful decorations while the chocolate is warm.
