  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon milk (only if needed)
  • 6 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped
  • Holiday or colorful sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Begin by creaming the unsalted butter and powdered sugar together in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add in the large egg followed by the pure vanilla extract and optional almond extract and mix until fully integrated.
  3. Sift together the all-purpose flour and salt, then gradually add to the wet ingredients.
  4. If dough is too dry, add 1 tablespoon of milk to soften.
  5. Fill a piping bag with the cookie dough and pipe onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Chill the cookies in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes until light golden around the edges.
  8. Cool the cookies on a wire rack.
  9. Melt the chocolate and dip one half of each cooled cookie into it.
