  • Author: Alioui
  • Total Time: 25 minutes plus chilling
  • Yield: Makes about 8 servings 1x

Description

This delectable dip combines the flavors of a classic hoagie sandwich with a creamy, cheesy base, perfect for any social gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet Italian dressing mix
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by heating a large skillet over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage and cook it until it’s nicely browned and crumbled. Once cooked through, drain any excess grease and set the sausage aside to cool slightly.
  2. In a spacious mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, and cream cheese. Add in the Italian dressing mix and stir these ingredients together well until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Once your creamy base is ready, fold in the cooked sausage, diced onions, green and red bell peppers, shredded mozzarella and provolone cheeses, and chopped parsley. Mix everything thoroughly.
  4. Season the dip with salt and pepper to taste. Transfer the dip to a serving dish, cover it, and refrigerate for at least two hours before serving.

Notes

You can prepare the dip a day in advance to let the flavors develop. If serving outdoors, maintain the dip’s freshness by keeping it cool.
