Description

These Maple Donut Bars are soft, cakey, and topped with a rich maple glaze, perfect for breakfast or dessert!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon maple extract
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 teaspoon maple extract (for glaze)
  • 23 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Coat a 9×13-inch baking pan with non-stick spray or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until blended.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla, maple extract, and milk; mix until smooth.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring gently until just mixed.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 22–26 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cool slightly; whisk together glaze ingredients until smooth.
  7. Pour glaze over warm bars and spread evenly. Allow to set before slicing.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days or freeze unglazed bars for up to three months.
