  • 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 4 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups candy-coated chocolates (like M&M’s)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and peanut butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add the brown sugar and granulated sugar, beating until combined.
  4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time and mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the oats, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add to the wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and candy-coated chocolates.
  7. Scoop dough onto baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie, and gently flatten each.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are light golden brown and centers soft.
  9. Let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
