Description

This Pear and Gorgonzola Flatbread is a perfect balance of sweet and savory, ideal for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry or flatbread (store-bought for convenience)
  • 2 pears, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz (120g) Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) honey
  • 1/4 cup (30g) chopped walnuts
  • A handful of arugula leaves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Freshly cracked black pepper
  • Optional substitutions: Swap Gorgonzola with goat cheese or blue cheese, and use pecans instead of walnuts for a twist.

Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the puff pastry until thin if you’re using it.
  2. Drizzle olive oil across the base.
  3. Layer thinly sliced pears, slightly overlapping.
  4. Sprinkle crumbled Gorgonzola cheese over the pears.
  5. Bake for about 15-20 minutes until golden and crisp.
  6. Drizzle honey and top with walnuts and arugula before serving.

Notes

Ensure pears are ripe but firm and adjust honey to your taste.
