Philly Cheesesteak Rolls

  • Author: Alioui
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

This easy low-carb recipe offers all the savory flavors of the classic Philly cheesesteak, but with a gluten-free and keto-friendly twist.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 16 ounces ground beef
  • 1/2 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). While the oven heats, line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to ensure that your cheese rolls do not stick to the pan.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add your ground beef along with the sliced onion and bell pepper. Cook until the beef is nicely browned and the veggies are tender, which should take about 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. On your prepared baking sheet, form eight circles of shredded Monterey Jack cheese, aiming for about 1/4 cup for each circle. Bake these cheese circles in the preheated oven for about 8 to 10 minutes.
  4. Once the cheese circles are baked to perfection, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Spoon a good portion of the beef mixture onto each cheese circle and roll them up.

Notes

You can prepare the filling a day ahead to save time and simply assemble the rolls when ready to bake.
