- 1 box spice cake mix
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional for added crunch)
Cinnamon Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Mix the spice cake mix, eggs, sour cream, and vegetable oil until smooth.
- Pour half the batter into the baking dish.
- Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and pecans; sprinkle over batter.
- Top with remaining batter and sprinkle with more cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes; check with a toothpick for doneness.
- Prepare the cinnamon glaze while the cake cools.
- Drizzle glaze over cooled cake and enjoy!
