- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs

- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). As your oven warms up, take a moment to butter a 10-inch cast-iron skillet.
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
- In a separate larger bowl, cream together your softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the pumpkin puree, sour cream, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.
- In a small bowl, combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, melted butter, and heavy cream for the topping.
- Pour the batter into the skillet and top with the praline mixture. Bake for about 35 to 40 minutes.
- Allow the cake to cool in the skillet for 10 minutes before slicing and serving warm.
