- 3 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 800 grams canned crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 50 grams grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a vigorous boil. Add the spaghetti and cook until al dente, reserving half a cup of pasta water before draining.
- Add olive oil to a deep skillet over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add crushed tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, and let the sauce simmer for about 15 minutes.
- Add cooked spaghetti to the sauce, tossing to coat, and add reserved pasta water if necessary.
- Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and serve immediately with additional cheese and pepper on top.
Notes
For best flavor, use high-quality canned tomatoes. Adjust seasoning before serving.
