Ingredients
- Puff Pastry Sheets: 2 sheets, thawed
- Ground Spiced Pork Sausage: 1 pound, cooked and crumbled
- Rotel Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilies: 1 can (10 ounces), well-drained
- Cream Cheese: 8 ounces, softened
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese: 1 cup
- Egg: 1, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cook the spiced pork sausage until browned and crumbled, then drain excess grease.
- Combine sausage, well-drained Rotel tomatoes, softened cream cheese, and shredded cheddar in a mixing bowl.
- Roll out puff pastry sheets and cut into 3-inch squares. Fill each square with a spoonful of the mixture, fold, and seal edges.
- Arrange on baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden.
- Cool for 3–4 minutes and serve warm.
Notes
Ensure puff pastry is thawed properly for easy handling. Well-drain Rotel tomatoes to avoid a watery filling.
