Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, start by whisking together the brown sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In the same bowl, add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Gently stir the mixture until everything is well combined.
- Carefully pour the batter into your greased baking dish, using a spatula to spread it evenly across the bottom.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the hot water and butterscotch sauce. Pour this mixture gently over the top of the batter—do not stir.
- Place the baking dish in your preheated oven and bake it for 30-35 minutes.
- Once baked, take the pudding out of the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes. Serve warm.
